Second in our New Series:
"A Day in the Life" Teleconference
On Thursday, January 23, we will hold the second teleconference in our "Day in the Life" SERIES featuring our own Vivian Altman interviewing Bettina Bronisz, a NEWPF Board member and Principal Debt Management Specialist at the Office of the State Treasurer (State of Connecticut). Ms. Bronisz is the manager of the State’s largest bond program - General Obligation Bonds - which has outstanding debt of $16 billion, and she recently closed an $897 million G.O. bond sale.
Join us as Bettina Bronisz shares her insights and lessons from a four-decade career in public finance. She started, as many still do, in an analyst program at a Wall Street firm, working her way up the career ladder through several national and boutique firms before transitioning to work for a state issuer. She is one of a handful of professional women who has worked as both an issuer and a banker, bringing a unique perspective to her current role in state government. Take this opportunity to hear about a different path to handling work/life balances and issues while managing a career.
This event is open to ALL municipal finance professionals - public or private sector, men or women, NEWPF members and non-members.
Ms. Bronisz's career includes experience in diverse arenas:
- State of Connecticut, Office of the State Treasurer
- Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority
- Advest, Inc.
- Greenwich Partners, LLC
- Puss ‘n Boots (all female rock band)
- A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.
- Ehrlich Bober & Co.
- Bear Stearns & Co.
- Constitution State Corporate Credit Union
